10Gbps XFP

The 10G XFP Transceiver follows the XFP MSA standard. It supports hot-plug. You do not need to turn off the device to change it. This 10Gbps XFP comes in both BiDi and dual-fiber types. The BiDi version uses one single-mode fiber. It sends and receives 10G data on the same fiber. This saves you a lot of fiber. The BiDi 10Gbps XFP gives you five distances: 10 km, 20 km, 40 km, 60 km, and 80 km. There are four wavelength pairs. They are Tx1270/Rx1330, Tx1330/Rx1270, Tx1490/Rx1550, and Tx1550/Rx1490. That gives you ten different BiDi models. The dual-fiber 10Gbps XFP covers 850 nm multi-mode for 300 m. It also covers 1310 nm single-mode for 2 km, 10 km, and 20 km. And it covers 1550 nm single-mode for 40 km and 80 km. The dual-fiber versions use VCSEL, FP, DFB, or cooled EML lasers. The receivers use PIN or APD diodes.

The 10G XFP Transceiver supports speeds from 9.953 Gb/s up to 11.1 Gb/s. The 80 km model can go up to 11.3 Gb/s. The module runs on a single +3.3V supply. Short and medium range models of the 10G XFP Transceiver use less than 1.5W of power. Their working current is below 500 mA. Long range models use less than 3.5W and up to 1000 mA. The operating temperature is 0°C to +70°C. You do not need an external reference clock. The 10G XFP Transceiver has a duplex LC connector. It has built-in DDM. You can check the optical power, temperature, voltage, and bias current live. The module has good heat dissipation. It also has good EMI shielding. The 10G XFP Transceiver meets RoHS standards.

If you need to save fiber, choose the BiDi version of this 10G XFP Transceiver. If you need to work with many different devices, choose the dual-fiber version. The 10G XFP Transceiver works with 10 Gigabit Ethernet. It works with SDH STM-64 and SONET OC-192. It also works with 10G Fibre Channel and G.709.
